USB Disconnects still an issue

And still make the game unplayable.
All USB devices reset in that moment, including bluetooth adapters (Headset disconnects), Mouse, keyboard...

For the keyboard its especially bad because sometimes it causes the keyboard to malfunction and spam inputs, either while its "discnnected" or afterwards. It causes risk of system instability.

really hope they find a fix, because its low key unplayable for me right now.

Only happens to the keyboard for me. Tried all USB ports, the -dx11 thing, wired and wireless keyboard, turning off rgb, disabling steam input and overlay. Nothing works. The first couple days I tried the game plugging my keyboard into usb 3.0 directly on the mobo worked, but yesterday it stopped again nothing seems to work.

yeah, I like to stream with a vtuber and I can't because it disconnects my camera constantly during the USB refreshes.

Try closing all RGB control software and see if that works - since those run through USB device it could be causing issues with control - there also seems to be a common theme of AMD based issues which could be due to a device limitation and bandwidth.

Im on Intel with no issues so I cant test the theory myself.

im so happy im not the only person this was happening to i was going crazy not knowing if the game was causing this... only game i own that does this and constantly shuts off everything while im streaming. this didnt happen in the beta for me... sucks bc i bought the battle pass but cant even play it...

I was having the same issue. I played both betas without a problem, and even right after launch. This started for me after an update I'm pretty sure. I found others on Reddit reporting the same thing and it seemed to be a common motherboard for people having the problem. I have the gigabyte B550 aorus master with a 5800X. Gigabyte released F16h BIOS on 12/25/23. I updated to that and it resolved the issue. Hopefully that helps someone. I tried some of the USB port switch suggestions some recommended and nothing else worked.

same for me too. wireless mouse freezes for multiple seconds at a time (about 4-6secs) and constantly disconnects and reconnects. i also lose all audio often and function to my keyboard. sometimes, the entire game hangs and crashes bringing me to a submit and restart error box. this game is unplayable for me.

specs: mobo gigabyte 570s, cpu R9 5900x, gpu 4090, ram 64gb, psu 1000w, latest gen m.2's on the motherboard.

Interesting, my motherboard is an ASUS B550. Guess I'll look into updates, I think I did one in november during the last beta but hopefully there's some new and finals specific

Hi, I also had this problem, frustratingly even after switching to a completely new setup.
The problem for me appears to be happening only in DX12, unfortunately switching to DX11 did solve my problem, but the performance was worse, with CPU und GPU not being under load.
I trie everything, but in the end what worked for me was using DX12, disabling power saving mode in the windows options, even setting it to "high-performance", so the usb ports wouldn't shut down, and then trying out all of my usb ports, front and back. In the end I found a port, where the problem wasn't happening any more.
I heard switching the mouse frequency also works.

damn, i have the same problem, with a msi mpg B650 carbon, and dx11 is unplayable. I check for a Bios update.
