30 min penalty for leaving solo tournament?!?

Started up a tournament like normal only to find its a 3v3v3v2. Then my teammate abandons me, to solo 9 people. Left the game to find a 30 min penalty for leaving. yall think its fair?

In situations like OP described it would be fair to have a forfeit button (like the forfeit vote in Valorant) so you can leave the game if you're the last member of the team and also prevent this system from filling in the empty team spots when it's pretty much a lost match at that point.
E.g. when empty spots are filled in only for those new people to leave because of yet another xp farming CN cheater with ESP and aimbot, making it a waste of time for players and turning the "fill in mid-match" into nothing short of a revolving door.

Making you go through the whole matchmaking loop only to be filled into a team that's already doomed to lose and waste your time is a dumb solution and so is penalizing you for leaving in a situation like that.

Because when discussing game systems, and what users expect from games, you usually want to look at other games. What works. What doesn't work.

and you know what doesn't work? putting leave penalty on players when they're alone in ranked games. unlike literally every other game that implements leaver penalties.

i don't quite understand why you want to look at this game as if its in a vacuum. if this game required you to press a hidden combination of keys in order to find a match, would you defend it because "thats how the finals works"? or would you say it needs a "find match" button like every other game?

Yea, and its relentless. I have finished a game and was suspended for leaving the game. Final round, lost in the last second and the game thought we DCed. Then I connection DC, with no way to rejoin the game after. even though it was not intentional, since this was considered a second DC, 2 hr suspension. This isnt even ranked so they need to ♥♥♥♥ off with that or lose a massive player base
