Keyboard Input lag

A friend is having an issue with input lag on his keyboard while playing this game. About 20secs into the game it starts.

He has tried many options already but non work.

Different USB slots
Chaining settings in-game
Chaining settings in NVIDIA app
Updating drivers
Opening firewall for the game
Reinstall

Anyone have any ideas?

There is momentum when strafing. You don't just go left right instantly, the character first stops moving when changing directions then starts moving in the other direction. Its not input lag.

Same problem here, already had this issue during the beta.
I can't play RN, it randomsly occurs every 30secs while playing, my input is delayed and keep being pressed for seconds. This is like network lag, but it only happens on that specific game.

I'm getting something similar where my keyboard inputs will freeze and then unfreeze after about 2 seconds (Occurs repetitively in a match every 30 seconds I'd say). Seems to be only this game it will occur on. I saw another post earlier that said about it being motherboard related but I haven't tested that theory yet.

I have the same issue. I even reinstalled Windows (it was time to do it anyways), but thought I'd try that....didn't work. If anyone has played Escape from Tarkov, it's like my character is experiencing inertia. I tried everything from what was done in the original post and more. My other 2 friends can play it just fine.

Same as the other guys here, it ONLY happens in this game. I've never experienced this EVER in any game. I literally have no control over my character.

Same problem - not hot fix in sight other than plugging your keyboard and mouse into usb 3.0 ports

I've noticed this as well at times, but I have no idea what causes it. I believe it has to be something in regards to your connection to the server at that specific moment. Unfortunately, there's no in-game method to seeing your ping or packet loss percentage, but maybe they'll add it in the future. Apex Legends has this option and it's very useful to have.

There is massive input lag in my experience. Also there is momentum but when fighting enemy players they don't have any....they have instant acceleration because netcode ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.

Same issue here, not only keyboard but same issue with mouse. One of them just freeze completely for 1-3 seconds then unfreezez... Doesn't happen in the training area though!!

I am having this issue also. I also get a problem where my mouse moves and fires on its own. I also had a problem where Microsoft Word would open repeatedly when hitting the W key. I was able to play a good five or six matches before this started.

if you strafe sprint you can glitch your character back and forth extremely fast, and I suspect you can macro it

I have the ussue too, if i press for axample w and then unpress it my character just keeps running for 1,5 seconds - but the mouse doent have this problem at all

I had something happen the second day of playing. All my usb devices would just shut off and turn back on a few times then go back to normal only to do it again not long after. I unplugged some things and moved my second keyboard usb to a 3.0 port. That seems to have helped.
