CRASH FIXES

After trying each and every suggestion I could find, I finally found a solution for me to be able to play the game. There's more than 1 issue at play so it gets wonky. If your game won't boot / you're getting the DEVICE_HUNG crash issue - this is what worked for me:

-13th gen chips don't sit right with UE5, so download intel extreme tuning utility and downclock performance cores to x54 - this will allow you to actually launch the game

-if you're on a monitor above standard 1080p, set the resolution in the properties/launch options of the game, e.g. "-w 2560 -h 1440" for a 2k monitor (don't include quotes)

-force dx11 instead of dx12 in the launch options "-dx11" (don't include quotes)

-****last but not least, and what finally solved the crashes for me - downgrade your graphics drivers. I personally downgraded to the 546.01 drivers released on Oct 31st. in windows search bar type "add or remove programs" -> search "nvidia" -> uninstall the current drivers -> restart PC -> grab downgraded drivers from nvidia's website and install

valid. it was a low effort find in a quick google for optimizing the paging file size, confirmed that the source appears to have been dogwater

Just tried everything here after getting the same crash like 8 times in 1 day

I have RTX 4080 + i9 13900k so it cannot be performance related, but this crash was happening to me every hour or so which was really annoying. Will test it out and hope it works out

So far no crashes but i am having random glitches and stutters on my screen like frame drops that i was not having before

I'll try lowering dx12 to dx11... Since this game crashes a lot. It is the only game that I received the following statements: amduw23g stopped responding (and UE5 crashes)

i tried this on my bros OP laptop it overheats, i suggest setting RAY TRACING = STATIC and lowering setting to low and reduced resolution. i exoerienced " unreal error"

update the grahics driver straight from the Nvidia website under laptop GPUs

When this happens to me I also get mouse cursor lag in windows, waking my computer up can cause this, a restart seems to fix it.
