Discovery.exe process in the background

When I try to get out of the game via "Exit to Desktop" it shows in the Steam client that the game still runs. Force stop from there doesn't work either. When I check running processes it shows that Discovery.exe is still up and cannot be killed.

Thoughts?

This happens to me too, even if I restart my pc it will still be there.

The latest patch didn't fix it. Now after some time after PC starts and you want to play the game it will error out as "Launch Error: Unexpected error [Game already running] On top of that AV reports it as a variant of Penguish.is trojan.

Not fixed, still occurring!! Can't even kill it with dos.

im expierencing the issue as well, have 4 of these discovery programs running in background and i cant even close them out. game is uninstalled and everything
