Constant crashes and problems
i9-13900k. Have to downclock to start the game.
Start game -> Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0xffffffffffffffff MISSING_ANGELSCRIPT_CALLSTACK -> Can't finish a game.

set resolution to 4k -> black screen -> can't start the game because the settings are already saved even if not accepted -> remove config file -> "use a dx11 driver card" (i have a fu****g 4080!!!!)

Are you going to make a playable game or what? :steamthumbsdown:

how do you go into the files to make it start up in dx11? I need to do that I think as my game is stuttering during fights. Pissing me off.

I started having that issue code after overclocking my ram to cl28, seems to work fine at TCL30-TRCD36-TRP36-TRAS28-TRC68 , but soon as i drop TCL to 28 i start having this issue.

I have an i7-13700KF, Radeon 6950XT, and Windows 11.

I constantly have this issue with multiple Direct X12 games and I think its Windows 11 with AMD drivers or intel processor to blame? I have to downgrade games to use DX11 and it just causes FPS drops.

I'm sick of this for all of my DX12 games, I've followed tons of tutorials and registry edits to fix it but I found someone saying reinstalling Windows should fix it, and if that doesn't work wiping my drive and installing Windows 10.

I'll let you know if it works.

I have been having issues with game crashing since I installed my 13th gen 13700K. Every single game was crashing. ESPECIALLY games made in UNREAL 5. I had spent MONTHS trouble shooting and reinstalling Windows. Even bought replacements for my motherboard, memory and even a brand new GPU (Went from RTX 3090 to RTX 4070 Ti). Swapping them in and out. Buying different kinds of memory. And nothing was working. I scoured the internet for support forums and a lot of them said to underclock the processor. I normally dont like going into the BIOS to tweak settings but I found a fix that has fixed my issues.

The FIX:

Download and install the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.
After that you must turn off Visualization-based security (VBS) to use the Utility.

In the app, turn the offset down a few levels. For me, I turned it down from 53x to 52x or 51x and it fixed every single game. If you have an i9, you can turn it down from 55x to 53x. No more crashing. No more Unreal errors.

I’ve pasted a URL below for instructions:

This may not be the only solution but it was for me after months and months. Good luck to you all. Hope this helps.

i7-13700k rtx4070 super never had a single problem , make sure all the apps are closed , mouse software (you can't use macro) , close everything , update windows , drivers , chipset , i run only msi afterburner to check temps and fps , weird , try a clean windows install and reinstall back drivers and windows update , maybe you mess around whit bios settings ? pretty sure is your fault you don't need to downclock undervolt or weird things . MY SETTINGS , windows , msconfig unlock all cpu cores , power plan set to performance , nvidia settings balanced , physx put your gpu and enable performance mode , bios settings xmp on and intel boost on and disabled virtualization
