Prop shot bugged?

The only daily challenge I have left is Prop Shot which says to damage an enemy with an arena throwable

I've hit enemies with flammable containers as well the random objects lying around the map

But that challenge still isn't getting completed.

Am I misunderstanding the challenge?

Hmm doesn't look fixed to me , did you do anything in particular ?

I got it. I shot the Containers in the sky.
Then the barrels hit the guys.
And i got it :D.

Not really. I just kept chucking things at people and it eventually worked.
The item that eventually got me the challenge complete was an exploding cylinder for what it's worth

ONe of the things I've mulled over my head is what if it needs to directly hit a person?
What if another person hits the canister or something else hits the canister?
Does that count as your damage or their damage?
Sometimes a canister kill counts for ya, sometimes it doesnt.

I smacked someone with a direct impact to get mine, so you might be onto something

Was having trouble getting this one, threw everything I could think of... Finally got it by hitting some rando with a chain on Vegas map...

This works like a charm on Vegas. I had tried for hours in different maps with no luck, and then I hit the jackpot!!!
