This has been known since early BETA's yet nothing got fixed for full release. gg wp
What OC ? It's factory OC there is nothing to turn off lol
I really wouldn't call them faulty since I finished every major title this year without a HITCH. Too powerful for the devs to optimize yea.
MOBO updates are almost never necessary , what mobo do you have ?
I see you have reading problems :) i9 13900KF + rtx 4080 OC. Troll somewhere else.
The only solution is to downlocck cpu to x54 pcores , either with the intel XTU windows software or from the BIOS.
Good luck !
Either do what Offence said, or run in power saver to launch, then swap once in main menu. Then you're at the mercy of other random crashes. The devs are aware of the issue, but how long or when they fix it is a guessing game.
It's the only real fix.

More and more games have this issue with the newest i9 chips 13900k and 14900k series , RMAing won't fix anything , it's an incompatibility on devs side aswell with the dx12 and Unreal Engine 5.
Lords of the Fallen has the same issue , Bf 2042 , Remnant 2 , The Finals and more UE5 releases will stumble on this awsell , i fixed this issue for my friends aswell by downclocking the pcores to x54 and it's smooth sailing.
You could also mess with the vcores and give more voltage to try to overcome this at x55 but I wouldn't advise it as the temps will go up even higher on these monster cpus that already are very hot and hungry.
I know people who RMA'ed and the CTD's and DX12 crashes started again after a week or so.
It's a huge mess but it is what it is , people still blame the consumers , their hardware and etc but the only people at fault are INTEL and the current game devs who can't optimize these powerful CPU's to save their lives.
Anyway GOOD luck to everyone !
