Game crashes on launch
Getting two different crashes. One from "Crash Report Handler" and one from "UE5-Discovery Crash Reporter." The Unreal Engine one reports "Could not decompress shader."
The system has a RTX 4080, 13900K and 32GB RAM on Win11.

i9-13900k known issue (same issue for me on newer games)
download intel extreme tuning utility and turn performance core ratio down to 53.
Radicano 8 DIC 2023 a las 16:45
Same issue, Radeon RX 7600.

To play the game, I changed the resolution, changed AMD FSR2 to Performance, Quality Level to Medium, Ray Tracing to Static.

No idea how but this worked:
  • Open the setting of The Finals in your Steam library
  • In the general tab under launch options, type "-d3d11" as starting arguments
  • Save and launch the game
  • Game will crash
  • Immediately boot the game again as soon as the blue Stop button turns into the green Play button
Hope it works for others too.

Problem is, it's not really a crash. The game won't even launch. It will ask me to install UE4 prerequisites, then I start installing and install fails and gives me an error code. No solution so far. Game is ♥♥♥♥. Beta worked fine

This method crashes too, just later.
It seems like putting my PC into Power Saver mode helps, but just for 10 minutes before crashing again
