Have you tried just practicing aiming?
or just light with invisible and swing away with sword
It can go pretty hard at times. Sucks if you have to play around an APS at objective but it has a lot of utility outside of combat. It's not the best in a 1v1 but the splash is solid against teams that cluster up together. Have gotten a fair number of team wipes just by dumping every round into the middle of a group.
heavy: sledge, flamethrower (both pair up well with mesh shield if you wait for enemies to come into your range or with charge if you want to be more offensive), shotgun thingy
medium: akm (clip size makes up for aim), riot shield (underrated imo lol), DONT pick scar and model 1887 as they require quite precise aiming. 1887 is way more tricky and requires flick shots as cooldown between each shot is noticeable
light: double-barrel shotgun (it doesn't work on any kind of range anyways lol), v9s (spray and pray, my brother, dont even have to ads), m11 (default smg, use up close), sword pairs up unexpectedly well with dash.
Otherwise:
- AKM. Just lean on the trigger, the recoil levels out after a few shots and you can just keep firing.
- Riot Shield also works for obvious reasons, but you're going to have to get really good at closing gaps.
- Landmines and turrets. Get a feel for where people tend to run without looking where they're going, and you're going to get a lot of completely free, no-skill kills. Double Explosive Mine even oneshots Mediums.
On other classes:
- Flamethrower (Heavy). Just wave your mouse, you can't possibly miss. Like Sledgehammer (Heavy), though, you're going to get a little bit better at closing gaps.
- Lewis (Heavy). For the same reason as AKM.
- Grenade launcher (Heavy). Meant to be used from further away, but quite a bit more destructive. Just spam to your heart's content, someone will die eventually.
- Sword (Light) (NOT dagger). Just hold RMB, release, and wave your mouse around, you're bound to hit something.
- XP (Light). Has very little recoil, so just spray n' pray, leave, reload, and pray again.
If you aren't a controller guy just go download rewasd. Free 7 day trial. It gives you aim assist even using keyboard and mouse. You can also use recoil scripts if you are still having problems.
I don't have any faith in the devs to do anything about it because they silently cranked up the aim assist on launch day so clearly they want it like this.
