Tried a restart, IT support, escalated the ticket, and here I am. lol
1. Is your Windows and are your Drivers up to date?
Especial your graphics drivers.
If not install the Updates.
2. Try to repair the game via Steam
3. Reinstall the Game.
a. Uninstall "The Finals"
b. Delete Cash Files from your Appdata folder
(for example "C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Embark")
c. Reboot your Computer
d. Install "The Finals"
If that dose not help, maybe someone on the "The Finals" Discord knows the Problem and has a workaround.
I was kidding. I work in IT.
Yeah, I mostly tried these already. I forgot about cash files. I mainly just posted because my last post about this seemed to get a lot of people who thought the same. I was just seeing if anyone already knew the answer or if this was a common thing still.
Honestly sounds like either you have a memory leak or some app running in the background eating up resources. You work in IT so i shouldnt have to say this but you already have your answer. Just check the logs
Cache files, my bad. Chill out dude. Not all of us go hard on forums. I'm over here busy with my kids and replying in between. I'm half here. And I'm no longer working with computers, I work in networking now. Strictly networking. And I killed everything and still the same problem.
Dude, I was joking. I was referencing the bs of ticket systems. It was part of the joke. Jesus, forget it.
Most ticket systems have a 24hr or less turn around time now a days. They are pretty effective honestly just people dont use them because of that outdated attitude. Also so its clear, not joking and I do actually work in IT responding to tickets like these. :) have a good one
I don't know what to tell you. I guess it went over your head. Not everything needs emotes. Maybe reread something instead taking everything literal. I am fully aware of ticket systems, I still hate them but for what I do, it's easier to get fly bys than a ticket. When I was starting out, I was the one who got the tickets and had to go onsite to fix it, we had to knock that stuff out quick but in networking, the requests are a lot more work, like months of planning usually. Building entire networks for new facilities and stuff like that. I'm no pro, so don't get me wrong, that's usually not me, just the fly bys and helping out engineers usually. You sort of talk like our call center guys lol. They are all pro tickets because if it's not a simple fix, they are the ones usually making the tickets and sending them out to the appropriate teams. At least they fill out and provide more information than a user would.
Your issue wasnt a networking one so it should be addressable quickly online. Sorry i got mad at the ticket thing but I spend my days responding to tickets from people who claim to know more than me and are smarter than me yet they called me to fix their issue. Its irritating so when I saw the chance to call someone out on that played out, not funny, "joke" without loosing my job I jumped on it
My guess is the game isnt the issue and your issue (like 99% of the issues I see) is user error. Not trying to be offensive here just saying the game is prob not at fault from the info you provided (granted you didnt give much detail, no logs, specs etc so i could be wrong) and its something you have running, installed, did or another issue with pc outside the game.
