The Finals Is Crashing My Computer
Is anyone else encountering persistent game crashes that abruptly shut down your game, leaving monitors black and necessitating a full PC restart?

These crashes seem to strike unpredictably; whether I've been playing for 30 minutes, an hour, or even two hours, the game suddenly gives out.

My latest crash happened during a critical tournament match, leading to penalties for supposedly abandoning the game, although it's the game's fault entirely.

I've tried the standard troubleshooting steps like verifying game files, updating drivers, doing a backflip and the whole routine, but nothing seems to resolve this issue.

Oddly, this problem is exclusive to this particular game; every other game on my system runs smoothly without a hitch.

Zero Problems.

I'm hesitant to dive into extensive PC troubleshooting for an issue that seems squarely rooted in the game itself.

I've noticed similar complaints on Reddit, indicating that this might be a widespread issue.

I am enjoying the game, but I might have to put it down for the time being if this continues, just curious if any other Steam users experiencing this nonsense?

Your insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

I've played this game for 30 hours and haven't crashed yet. It feels like a lottery ticket, maybe my time will come.

no, tons of players have the issue of game crashing constantly. even since beta. dont change power, gpu or whatever settings. dx12 / newster nvidia driver and certrain processors have issues with those. which is neither fixable by changing any weird settings random npcs suggest in a forum, nor the players taks to fix this.

I'm trying to reinstall, I've already checked for errors and installed the latest drivers, everything doesn't work, I've been able to play for 60 hours without problems and an hour ago it had started, I can't get into any game without freezing the game and I have to press the power button, other games are not affected and the CPU temperature is only 50 degrees and the GPU 30%

It's like Valorant. Better wait for next update if you want to play the game then having your computer not working at all.

same here, it just maxed out the cpu and overheats it

The game has issues with cpu utilisation even down to having a controller plugged in will cause your temps to skyrocket. (higher in menus too than in game) some people have also disabled bluetooth and lowered temps. Its most likely the game than your hardware.

The finals takes up all memory and cpu

I get the same crashes ( game freezing, black screen and pc reboot ) but only when i play on controller so weird, i played the game around 180+ hours on mouse and keyboard with no problems at all. But as soon as i play on my controller randomly after 1 or 2 games the game freeze and my pc restart lol ...

I'm also having this issue. I upgraded from a 750W PSU + RTX 3070 to a 1000W PSU + RTX 4090 because I figured it was the PSU not being able to handle peaks in power draw. Still randomly crashing into black screen mid-game, requiring me to switch off the PSU to reboot.

Contacted Embark for help, and all they say is "we will forward your information to the team!"

I cant play a single game without my PC locking up and having to hard restart. its been that way for the last few months. Waiting for a patch before i reinstall.

I had the same issue. I lowered graphics setting a bit to have stable 180 FPS in game and then set the FPS limit to 120 FPS, and it worked in my case.
My config is: Ryzen 9 5950X, RTX 3080TI, 64 GB Ram
