The Finals Is Crashing My Computer
Is anyone else encountering persistent game crashes that abruptly shut down your game, leaving monitors black and necessitating a full PC restart?

These crashes seem to strike unpredictably; whether I've been playing for 30 minutes, an hour, or even two hours, the game suddenly gives out.

My latest crash happened during a critical tournament match, leading to penalties for supposedly abandoning the game, although it's the game's fault entirely.

I've tried the standard troubleshooting steps like verifying game files, updating drivers, doing a backflip and the whole routine, but nothing seems to resolve this issue.

Oddly, this problem is exclusive to this particular game; every other game on my system runs smoothly without a hitch.

Zero Problems.

I'm hesitant to dive into extensive PC troubleshooting for an issue that seems squarely rooted in the game itself.

I've noticed similar complaints on Reddit, indicating that this might be a widespread issue.

I am enjoying the game, but I might have to put it down for the time being if this continues, just curious if any other Steam users experiencing this nonsense?

Your insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Same as you. Just had the game send my PC into a cycle of BSODs and Restarts, ending in critical stoperrors each time. Guess I'll uninstall until it's smoothed out cuz can't afford to wipe/and troubleshoot for just this game.

I'm gonna take a break, but if this continues when I next play. I might do the same unfortunately ~ such a shame, really loving the game, just annoying not knowing when next the game is gonna decide to shut down my entire rig. So random too, was playing last night for a few hours with no issue.

got the same issue.

Never had this issue.

You can always try doing SFC/ Scannow or a chkdsk /r /f in command prompt.

When the game crashes, you can check your Event Viewer and see the error.

I have the same problem, have had it twice today. Both crashes occurred on explosions.

try SFC/Scannow on command prompt

The SFC/Scannow command did fix some files. Don't know if the chkdsk /r /f did as well. The EventViewer didn't show anything useful. I'm going to try a new tournament again. Thanks so far.

Okay I've played some matches without any problem, because I also did not get an explosion directly on me. Now I did and yes, my game crashed, but it did not crash my computer entirely. So I think the problem is fixed now, because crashes are common in this game I read.
