game forces me to overclock my GPU
so, i was playing the game overclocked and then i crashed. so... i disabled the overclock.

HOWEVER, doing so causes the game to have massive connection lag (packet dropping + latency), so either i overclock my GPU back to (+200Mhz core, +1100Mhz memory) or i can't play.

what a joke!

Try clearing the cache or reinstalling Windows or updating your PC, one of these will certainly help.

The Finals is the only game i have this issue with. both my internet and my computer work flawlessly. i tried re-installing, updating drivers, etc and nothing works.

game's connectivity is jank, seen others with a similar connection issues but the reason for it happening is different.

just gonna keep it overclocked when playing the game...

Funny I play with a GTX 1050ti and don't have that issue. I don't need to overclock, so nor do you. Have you tried tweaking the settings with geforce experience? try using it to optimize the settings for you, then edit those settings for performance. Game runs quite well for me, and my CPU is one gen behind.

it's not a framerate issue. game runs smooth (ultra 60+) both with and without OC. it's the server connection that completely dies.

it used to work without OC, but ever since i enabled it once, it won't let me go back to non-OC.

Why give me a clown😠, I just gave advice that would probably help you if you listened.
If there are no problems with FPS, then change your provider, I live in the forest and the game works fine for me with a 4G modem.

Even so, tweaking settings can verify it's not a settings issues, the next thing I would be checking is something PC side. Not sure what the overclocking has to do with it if anything at all. But I and many others don't oC and don't have the issue. So it's gotta be something else.
Have you turned off geforce experience in game recording software? I could see it causing issues trying to record and allow gameplay at the same time.

That's ignorant advice. How would changing providers make a difference if overclocking seems to fix his issue?
Stop being silly and giving troll advice

all settings run at ~70-100fps. i believe it's a security thing on the server-side when i tamper with the GPU. game runs no-problem when OCing with 10%. also got 100Mbit internet up&down (5G, 8ms)

There is nothing server side doing anything to you. It's on your side. that doesn't even make sense.
I don't think it's your internet either. I feel like it is something else you are running such as geforce experience and their cloud software

So shut down geforce experience and all it's software then try gaming, not overclocked.

the performance difference between OC and non-OC is negligible.

it's good to note that this all started after i crashed for the first time. before the crash i could change OC/no-OC without any issues.

this is also the only game where this has ever been an issue. i change OC per game all the time

Yep, which supports the point even more it has to do with something on your end.
Whatever causes you to crash is likely causing this. One of the things known to do this is Geforce recording software. Why I mentioned the tips above so you can try to fix it.
