Cheating/Controller aim assist/Chronus?
Idk what is more the problem. Controller aim assist? Cheating? Some guy on my team started cheating because he thought the other team was cheating. I checked out the other team that was cheating twitch stream since they were advertising it, and they were playing with controller. Naturally, he looks like hes cheating. His crosshair just followed EVERYONE he would snap onto. Is he cheating with a controller using a chronus? maybe, I wont ever know. All I know is that I DON'T want to be paired with players using controllers when I have crossplay off. I want an even playing field with everyone using mouse and keyboard. Players playing with controllers should automatically just be thrown into crossplay lobbies with other Controller players.

The main issue with what you said is that lots of people use hardware tools (I will not make any advertisement about it) to emulate their mouse as a controller. So, basically, they have the same aim assist on their mouse as the controller and as its not sofware assist, no anti-cheat tool can detect it. Many streamers on Twitch use this method, and the worst part about it is that the game doesn't detect the controller, but it still emulates a keyboard/mouse.

These people are pathetic. Imagine ruining all sense of reward from a FPS game by cheating.

yeah this situation sucks giving them a false edge or advantage to other players. So they will talk crap like they are actually good, but in reality they are straight dog water.

In fact, I noticed a few times I got iced pretty quick ( i assume a head shot multiples times in a row within a second lol while i was moving mind you lol ) and thus I knew they had some sort of aim assist active (whether they were a console player or a PC player with chronus or a controller i don't know because the devs haven't been bothered to include that information)

But it still sucks when a player for example uses a zip line and manages to take out more than a quarter of my health while zipping along it lol. like wtf is that?!

I am still having fun mind you but I would hope they do some sort of kill cam feature like other games so we can review our kills to see not only what we may of done wrong but also to review and inspect what the other player did (if anything they did is suspect we can report it to the devs) why they dont have a kill cam is beyond me.

Aim assist is too weak right now, if a pc player with a mouse cant beat a controller player then he is just bad.

I agree with you guys. I think the only possible solution is for video game companies to remove any type of aim assist in their games, but that will never happen, right?

Only reason you can play any shooters in gamepad is aim assist, which is basically cheat if PC gamers could have it.

Issue is that the game's TTK is just long enough for the AA to give controller an edge. If TTK was shorter, which I'm not advocating, the difference between kbm and controller would be less significant because when you got the drop on someone they would pretty much always be dead before rAA factored.

In The Finals, a lot of engagements allow for enough time for players to react, evade, and return fire. AA trumps human reaction time by a lot, so where kbm players have to anticipate their opponents' movements once they start dodging around and shooting back, controller can cheese the AA to continue to land every hit.

The higher the SBMM, the more frequently you see this at play to the point that I finally just disabled cross play and the difference is night and day. What games really oughta do is input-based matchmaking (which would also ♥♥♥♥ hardware emulators).
