m60 vs lewis gun

looking at stats these are basically the same? nothing is different other than accuracy and mag size? whats the point of having pretty much 2 of the same weapon

What the other guy said, the recoil on the m60 immediately snakes, going left right left right from the moment you start shooting, while lewis goes down for about 15 bullets, then kicks to the right
