why is there a ranked mode if the normal modes already have sbmm

For ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ real. Solo Q is impossible now just trying to have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun. You put 10 hours into the game win a few matches and then it's 85% nothing but meta abusing 3 stacks.

In my experience SBMM even works better in casual modes, such as Quick Cash, and not so well in Ranked tourney. It's a bizzare feeling. I get better teammates in casual.. Like, how am I supposed to rise quickly to my skill level in ranked if the game keeps giving me teammates that barely know what their gadgets and abilities do? Just bollocks.

That's probably why we can't drop rank. Let's them do faster matchmaking to keep the flow in the larger tournaments.

Maybe, it is a very casual game after all, with a slice of competitive depth to it.
