190-210 fps with no drop
My spec:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics
GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
RAM 32GB 1600 Mhz
Win 10 x64
Also seems like CPU usage drops to 0% and then goes back to 50-60% as usual
I checked my voltages and temperature - it's all fine, anyways other games are going smooth, the problem appears only in The Finals
Dropping to 80-100 fps occasionally mid fights is super annoying, GPU usage is at 50-60% during those fights like wtf?
That sounds like... an overkill to fix the issue that appeared after software update of the game files...
but a bunch of people are finding different fixes for the same issue.
(edit) this is just my experience
I have this weird red icon fps drops even in tutorial, lol. What the hell?
Is this... is this garbage collector in code doing stuff lol? Devs, is this like your code clears some physical objects or something and we get fps frops?
Probably in recent update some dev did something like
"MainThread.run(clearShit())"
instead of
"BackgroundThread.run(clearShit())"
I tested this in Windowed mode in 1080 and it still occurs. What looks like is happening is the GPU utilization drops to almost nothing and the CPU util spikes up, probably to pick up the load. There is no change in VRAM or system RAM, it's not loading or unloading anything, the process looks like it's dropping the GPU for a while then picking it back up. I looked at the Discovery.exe PID in ProcMon but there's really nothing going on at the OS level, this is something happening within the game client.
This is what it looks like in the metrics:

I think the best solution at the moment is to launch the game and wait ~5 minutes until this happens, THEN join a lobby or start a game that way it doesn't happen while you're playing.
