0xC0000022 Do you have these errors in windows event viewer?

Play the Finals, start a match, play through the match and when back to the title screen, minimise the game to taskbar.

Click the Windows search box, type "Event viewer", click "Custom views", "Administrative events". You can't miss it, the event will show as a red exclamation mark and say ERROR. The errors will appear every 1-5 minutes even when the game is minimised. Press f5 to refresh the page to see any new logs.

Event viewer error details :

- Event ID 2
- Source : Kernel-EventTracking
- Task category : Session
- Error : Session "dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51" failed to start with the
following error: 0xC0000022

Searching google, there are suggestions it is related to EAC (easy anticheat).

This error is appearing even after a clean installation of Windows 10 22h2. I would like to know if others here in this forum are seeing the same error.

I have the same errors while playing Fortnite, it also uses Easy anticheat. If I launch Epic Games as admin I have no errors. Sorry thats all I know

Thank you, running Steam as admin stops the event from appearing.

I've been having this problem with both the Finals AND Fortnite, thank you so much for sharing what worked. Hoping it works for me, too. In addition to tons of event viewer errors, I'm also getting really bad micro freezes in game :( hoping it solves that, too

it's just that when you start the game, a crash report comes out that is associated with an anti-cheat

I tried several things, some somewhat complicated and nothing solved. I made sure to revert back at every attempt when they didn't work, and the only thing that worked for me was this. Running Steam as administrator completely eliminates these errors from Windows log and by consequence eliminates the micro stutters that come with it.

Much appreciated.

EDIT: And it's not even for this game, it's for The First Descendant. So I imagine that any game that uses Easy Anti Cheat (yes the error is related to that app) is subject to this if the app doesn't like something in your system I guess.
