okay so far the game is overall fun, just need to understand the limits of the character classes, that;s cool, I can get with that.

but wth is up with the character design? why does my heavy character look like he suffers from a bad case of gynecomastia and has chonker hips like he has a wee bit too much estrogen in his system, rocking a beer gut as if he has never seen sub 30% body fat in his entire life. lol. The men don't look like "men". they have overly embelished generic feminine features. Yet the women look more or less like women. And the tight ass jogging pants like he's wearing spandex leggings. lol Spandex is a privilege not a right people. I am trying to wrap my head around the design decisions. lol. anyone noticed this silliness?

Keep in mind guys, the bodies and heads are separate, and this is mostly about the bodies. The question is how easily you can tell a male head is on a female body, or how easily you can tell a female head is on a male body.

More importantly, how ugly can the model be before we're allowed to call it bad design?

im quite famailar with that process. it is not so much uglyt as its just poor subpar design, generic, uncreative, bland, safe, no defining features. and more so given the effeminate features of the body types the "men" have available to their character creation process. that is more the issue than anything. plenty of other games do character creation or character design class tropes very well. this one for some reason did a bad job in implementing the character creation steps.

Have you noticed characters look they don't have knees. The game has such a hideous aesthetic really ugly.

Also faces 8 asian/african faces, I suppose the one in the middle is meant to be white, but he just looks ill and the other white face is locked beyond a paywall, you have to pay to look white.

It's quite clear that there is rampant mental illness going on when designing the art for this game.

There's 2 white faces, 2 black faces, 2 middle-eastern(?) faces, and 3 Asian faces. If you can't spot the female white face, you should probably go outside.

I agree none of the males really look male. There is also no facial hair option I don't believe. They don't want you to tell the difference between the two I guess? I don't know.

with all the BS and buildng destruction going on I was able to get away and recover and noticed my character sounds like a straight up B**** when he's injured wtf whining like a little girl as hes recovering. please tell me that's a damn bug. I did a new heavy and saw no options for voices for throwing out canned emotes, and call outs. lol. this game is a trip.

What I like about Elden Ring is, they gave you 6 Base Heads and then allowed you to edit those heads with Estrogen Sliders and a lot of other options. Like they had options for Chin Width and Eye Size. If you choose the male body you had a male voice. If you chose the female body you had a female voice. You could make opposite gender twins because male and female had the same head selections and hair styles. NPCs respected your pronouns. So choose male body they use male pronouns on you. Choose a female body and NPCs will use female pronouns on you. Saving and loading character presets is also fun. Along with the body slider options. The Finals is severely lacking in Character Creation Options despite wanting to sell us cosmetics.

I agree, its been bothering me ever since I first saw it. But do you think it would make sense, since the game happens in virtual esports, that the players/characters in it are gamers. I still think it would be nice if they change character abit, these people look like they never did any hardwork in their life
