Literally unplayable
How can any game dev in 2023 almost 2024 still ♥♥♥♥ up this badly the game optimization. Im running a 5800X and an RTX3070 even putting everything on low i still get 90 fps tops with CPU and GPU utilization less than 30%. Mouse stuttering and frame skips if you play on dx12, had to force it to d3d11 to at least being able to aim.... I crashed 4 times out of 6 times i tried to play.

This game runs on Unreal Engine, how come fortnite runs 300fps on my pc with full high graphics but this game cannot while having a smaller map?

Any suggestion on tweaking or how to disable the lighting with i believe is the problem?

Okay bye, thanks for letting us know

same. I like the game and the mechanics but the crappy performance/optimization makes it difficult to play.

i have a similar system and have zero issues playing the game at max at around 120fps sounds like its more of a hardware issue or a bug, i just noticed you run a amd cpu, im running an intel maybe its a issue with amd cpus

I have a 2070S and get consistent 60fps

120fps is still unacceptable by today's standards, there clearly is some problem on their side because as i said im running everything on low settings even with nvidia dlss on ultra performance. Tried multiple settings but nothing.
What's funny is that running in 1440p or 1080p doesn't seem to affect FPS which clearly proves it's not an hardware issue but software side.

Game seems fun but i can't enjoy it at the moment, playing 90fps on a 2K 180hz monitor gives me motion sickness.

Even warzone runs at higher FPS taking in account it's the worst optimized PC game ever.

You can't disable lighting. It would be dark.... Set RTX Global Illumination to *static* to turn off ray tracing. Use DLSS for Nvidia, FSR 2 for AMD, and XESS for Intel. Upscaling gives more frames. Also, DX11 no longer works. Its a DX12 only game at launch. What are your temps like? You might be throttling.

Not having an issue personally. AMD 6900XT and AMD 5700x 1440P. Epic settings, but global illumination set to static. FSR2 quality upscaling. I get 150+ FPS. CPU utilization 80+ percent. GPU 90+ percent.

i added -d3d11 on command line lauch. If i dont do this i cannot play in dx12 because of constant mouse stutters(which is an issue i saw other players have too).
No throttole, stable 70° (which is more than ok for a 5800x) on cpu and 40 on gpu. i already put static on illumination and using dlss on ultra performance.
My CPU got max 40% usage from what i can see

I keep getting FPS drops from 140+ to 20 every time I play the game for more than 30 minutes. It gets progressively worse with time, with the stuttering increasing in frequency and length. This is on 1440p with a i9 10900K and 3080.

This is what we get for hyping the game too much I guess

ngl this sounds like a you problem, you might wanna do some diagnostics on your pc. I have a Ryzen 5 5600G and a RX5500 and I have had pretty great performance (for me) on this game even when not on low settings. I haven't had any experiences with frame drops or anything like that. Actually out of all the games I have played on this PC this has run the smoothest.

Does it crash for you also after this? for me after a while it crashes the game or BSOD the PC but not always, completely random

This is strange, I've got a 4070 and the gpu utilization is at 99% when I play this game. It stays mostly at 130fps with a mixed of high and epic settings, with max rtx at 1080px.
Also I played about 40h and had just one crash. Did you check the temperature?

The community is so dog water for this game i cant even believe it, all these guys say is Git gud while the game has A$$ balancing ,cheaters all over, desync and server like hot garbage.

All of you guys are brain dead:

1: the game will always be hard to run because of how advanced the physics are and how heavy it is on the CPU

2: optimization updates are possible but they won't just make the game butter smooth all of the sudden

3: the game is surprisingly well balanced for a release

4: Embark is not the problem behind the anti cheat, they are running of EAC and EAC has been easier and easier to avoid in the past few years

5: you are crashing 100% because of your temps or dog PSU

6: Fortnite is easier to run because it has no physics involved, the game is *almost* 100% run by your GPU
