Increase Penalties For Leaving
People need to be banned a lot longer for quitting games constantly.

Games have leavers because matches aren't being balanced out. Notice people that rage quit matches and why they do. nothing like watching them get insta-snapped to the head and getting PO'd and dipping out.

As long as it can tell the difference between a quit, and a game crash.

People quitting games I can deal with. I just don't know why it takes long for a backfill

I've had some buddies get DC'd and then banned when trying to rejoin in ranked.. Same thing happened to me after a patch. Weird stuff they're having to work out. So it's kinda a double edged sword.

Yep. I crash a lot. Sometimes when I reconnect, teammates have just quit. Presumably because they didn't understand that I crashed and was going to reconnect.

No way, the standard tournaments should have no penalties, OR only penalise if you quit in qualifying position. The number of matches where I've been paired with complete morons (maybe some young players that don't understand but mainly kill count glory hunters) that simply will not play the objectives and thus give zero possibility to qualify is ridiculous. I'm not going to waste my time sitting through a game i have no chance to succeed in. But then you quit and get a time penalty.

Keep penalties in the ranked games, perhaps make those even harsher, but for un-ranked there should be none or like i said, penalise if quitting while in qualifying position.

If you're a habitual quitter you need to be penalized. It's very simple. Doesn't matter which game mode.

Until they address the cheaters there shouldn't be a major penalty YET

The objective premise of the game is even simpler, yet there are too many players that do not play it. At all.

Like i said, keep hard penalties for ranked games. I think my suggestion is more than reasonable. If you're already languishing in knockout position and you quit, you've just saved all involved from wasting their time and you can move on to another match where, HOPEFULLY, you get cohesive team mates and can succeed.

Good point.

As a solo player I've yet to quit a match even while losing so it's rather frustrating but it definitely needs to be adjusted in some way for unranked as well. Nothing punitive just reasonable.

If its in ranked yes. In every other mode I think there should be no penalty, maybe tourney as well as ranked.
If I see a team of mediums or a lobby of lights, I'm leaving. There's no fun to be had in those games.
