Fatal Error - A debugger was detected after newest update

Anyone else experiencing this? Game worked just fine before the newest update today (December 20th, 2023). Re-install doesn't work and I'm not opening the game with any launch options.

Yep, i got the same message today .... repairing the files and a new installation and restarting the system or upgrading the video drivers did not help me.

Closing aida64 fixed it for me

LOL i will not be disabling aida64 just to play 1 game. i customized my temps for hours. oh well looks like ill stop playing. good riddance

I'm getting the same error but I have no idea what aida64 is and I've closed every single program that isn't steam :/

I FIXED IT:
If you have the issue and do not have Aida64 installed (like me)
1) type msconfig in the search bar and click on system configuration
2) go to the boot tab and click advanced options
3) disable the debug checkbox, apply, and restart your pc
