TEXT CHATS

Can we please get a all and team chat in the game, I don't know why we don't already have this. Its so easy to implement and almost every other game has it so Idk why the finals doesn't, and if u think text chats are bad cause it encourages "toxicity" you need to grow up or just turn off the chat. there have been multiple times where ill go and try to talk in all chat and it just not be there, this makes no sense please add it

It's good as it is. Saw many games with chats and they are used to ♥♥♥♥ in them. So no. The idea to not implement text chat is the best I can think of. Text chat will also cause more bans for toxicity and that will shrink gaming community. The game is incredibly fun now so why ruin it.

The game is so fast-paced and requires you to be attentive, they're probably not wanting people to be standing around sending messages when they could just join the voice chat which would be much more useful anyways.

even if it shrinks it why would you want toxic players in the community in the first place, I understand why we don't have the text chat but there also is no good reason not to have it, even just a team chat would be nice, lets be real half the time players don't use there mic even if they have one. it adds another level of communication, this is a competitive game and even though comms are not important in this game as say something like siege, but there still important and this game should at least have a team chat for when your dead or u need to relay important information to your team, all chats I can understand if they never add, there is no real reason you would need to communicate with the other team unless to ♥♥♥♥ talk so I'm understanding of no all chat, but that doesn't mean we cant still get a team chat

you could just type when you die, voice chat is odv preferred but a team chat is still a good option for those who either dont have a mic or are just to lazy/dont wanna talk to other people

They can add a text chat and allow you to disable the text chat if you do not want a visible text chat. Many players are too shy to use a voice chat, my english was absolue garbage when I was young and I did not like my voice and rarely used the voice chat. To make it harder to talk to your teammates takes away from the experience, it makes it feel as if you are playing with bots. Make very strict rules for your chat and just ban the heck out of players that do not obey, there is no reason to allow toxic chat between strangers that do not even know eachother, people can talk like toxic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on their Discord server.

And what would you say when you're dead? The point of this game to play as team with your friends. I don't even use in-game voice chat, only discord. It's essential to play as one with your team and have constant voice comm with it. Text chat is just useless in this game and won't be used as intended 100%.

how you going to say its important to play as one with your team then also say text chat is useless, if your able to use the in game voice chat or discord of of course your going to use it over text chat, but not everyone is using discord or voice chat are they? and not everyone is in premade stacks and with how much this game favours teams that are stacking together team chat helps bring communication to solo qs and help bring communication to those who need it. your acting like having a team chat is gonna give the game stage 4 cancer and destroy the game when its really not, of course team chat is not going to be the ideal communication method but it is a way to talk to your team, how is that a bad thing. how you going to protest something that helps people soloqing when this game is already so unfair towards solo qs

It's because I played 3000 hours in Overwatch 1 (skipped that 2nd cash grab BS) and from my experience team text chat wasn't something essential for teamwork not talking about all chat that was used just to say "gg" to the enemy team after winning the match. So I know what i'm talking about and don't want it to happen here. Anyway everyone can have its own opinion and I respect that. It could be an option but with its own consequences.

I understand where your coming from and I respect your opinion but I know what I’m taking about aswell I have close to 5000 hours in siege and that is arguably a much more comm heavy game and I see people using the text chat for comms all the time, to be fair aswell it is also used to be toxic but the value of text chats is there and I think it should be added, I’m not saying ther perfect they definitely have there flaws but I think the values outweigh them, I’ve been playing competitive games pretty much my entire life and I understand how toxic people can be but I still think text chats should be added, even when ur in a vc text chats are still helpful to give less important information without cluttering noise for sound qs, even if u never use them other people do, but I understand why some people wouldn’t want them and I get if there never added, it’s just that I personally would like to see them in the game
