Light vs Medium vs Heavy
I wanted to see actual thoughts on the different classes. In my experience, I feel medium is quite good (AKM is very consistent) and their healing and defibrillator are very powerful for team work. Sonar is also quite nice.

Heavy has a ridiculous amount of HP, can easily destroy terrain, provide shields, and has large ammo pools. The flamethrower is very strong.

Light is closest to my usual class play in other shooters/BRs/ Rogue-likes etc. However, I feel like the SMGs are underwhelming, and while the pistol is strong, due to my health I loose alot of direct fights (240 dmg dealt vs 155). I like the skills and mobility, but at least for me who prefers SMGs in most games, I feel like I don't have the range needed to compete with other weapons (AKM and M60) but I also lack the up close damage to burst vs the healthier charecters. I also find the sword/dash combo fun but feels like it shouldnt exist personally.

What are your thoughts on the classes? what do you think would help?

Personally, I feel 175, 250, 325 would feel a bit healthier. Id also like to see the MP have a faster reload or slight more damage per bullet. Thanks for your contribution!

There already seems to be a meta and it's lights with pistol just zooming across the map using stuns and some sort of disable skill.

Lights are pretty weak. If you have recon or sonar, u can usually squash them.

My point of view :
light is like you said , rogue like style type of class , it's true that it's weaker, in direct confrontation with healthier classes unless good aim for constant headshots with certain weapons , but don't forget their kits
you either surprise attack, with cloak (very nice advantage if used well )
or dash mid combat , (in my experience, i get advantage in my 1v1's when dashing or grabling mid combat )
or grabling for in and out of combats very strong in open areas , they can't keep up, can't catch you
for me it seems light health is on point, if you know when engage and disengage , i think also damage is on point ( i only play pistol tho )
the mp reload time is long yes, it need to be faster reload OR better damage (one of the two ) , that's the only thing keeping me for playing that weapon,
for other classes, medium i think it's good nice
my problem is with heavy, wich seems that they got a bit extra health , a little tiny cut in that health pool should be nice

If you want a hit and run playstyle you should try out the Light Shotgun. Flamewerfer is actually really balanced because it has lower DPS than the default machine gun and range is ass, lights can also just run away from it's range. I feel like balanced teams are actually the best and if the balance is in favor of 1 class, then it's probably medium.

Thank you for an non-confrontational answer. Yes I agree with you 99%. My only difference is that at the games core, I feel people are fighting, and often in groups. Perhaps my skill level is just not there yet (8 hours played) but as medium or heavy a 1v2 feels doable with good play. as Light I feel like the health pool and weapon options limit that. Even with the pistol, I can kill, go inv kill. but if 2 people show up, I feel like I may die even using invis, and my movement just from spray. Where as on medium or heavy I feel like I can pull it out.

just some thoughts, thanks again!

agreed, with the heavy as well, standing fairly still and spraying often works, which feels weird to me.

thanks for the feedback! I have not tried the shotgun yet ill give it a go! I find ive just been struggling with the sentry spam players who are moving as a pack, I just cant get in and out alive. this may be a good option!

I think all classes are pretty good to be fair. If u play one long enough you'll find your grove.

I think heavy is the strongest class. I think 2 heavies and a medium is probably the strongest combo for the first game mode. The dome shield is VERY broken for objective capturing and stealing.

Heavy weapons have pretty poor DPS, IMO. I can usually outshoot them with a medium AK build. They're more so for long sustained/suppressive fire, flamethrower being the prime example. Some of the weapons are also easily outpaced by light builds doing their job and kiting with dashes/grapples. Characters themselves are really slow and cannot fit through a lot of the places even mediums can, so by the time you reach the objective with a full heavy team it's already taken and full wipes are immeasurably punishing. But I do agree on the Dome shields, those have to get both their duration and durability lowered.

Have you tried the heavy shotgun? I use that on the heavy and I can outduel so many people. Lights get absolutely shredded. The pseudo reload ( i guess you swap tubes ) is a little annoying but unless youre going against another heavy with a lmg or something I feel like you win 1v1s with decent shot placement.

And kiting in and out of dome shield is busted.

I tried Flame, LMG, Grenade Launcher, Sledge. I can usually outshoot LMGs, shotties not so sure because I only ever saw a single heavy use it in 40+ matches. Flamethrowers are harder to duel because while they do have a lower DPS than the LMG the flames just completely blind you, so you have to retreat.

I legit hate the flamethrower, its such a no skill weapon. Honestly most heavies I see run sledge or flame.

I disagree. Again, it's one of the lowest DPS heavy weapons and has a pretty poor effective range because it's a suppression tool. It requires good positioning to have any potential because mediums and lights can simply run away from you. Sledge is fun, I like it for being able to just wreck the building altogether to mess with the enemies' defenses.

It definitely does have low effective range but I feel like the fact that youre so often forced into close quarters, and can even make close quarters by either blowing out the floor on a point on a roof or putting out goo and barriers etc and using dome shields make it still effective.

Either way, i'm not sure how "op" it is necessarily but I just find it annoying as hell and low skill.

well, u got me there , that's right , 1v2 is not doable with light (in my exprience ), i guess i agree with you when taking that in account
and no, thank YOU for adressing an interesting subject unlike other posts
