Can't add game to library: "No Licenses" error

Also I played the old Beta, so I figured getting in on this one wouldn't be a big deal.

Okay one more time. For the record I have tried adding the game to my account, it says I am invited to play but I get a "FAILURE: no licenses" error from steam.

I have tried using the web browser "hack" but that does not add the game to my library to install.

Where are the community managers? why aren't they addressing this? Does anyone know?

It's weird that this hasn't even been addressed. I assume this just means they ran out of steam codes, but I have some friends who were able to install it after I tried and got this error.

Failure: no license I wanna link a game from GOG to steam library but wont work.

I didnt have this error with the playtest but now with the final game I have this error and cant click on "Add Game to the library" or "Play Game".
Did someone find out how to work around it? Installing it via the steamdb website also doesnt work or adding it via the steam website. Same with restarting Steam.

Oh wow, the irony is it worked for me last night. Steam's entire system is a mess.

The only thing I could suggest is in the Steam client click Help - > Steam Support - > Games, Software, Etc... In the search below look for The Finals, and select "It's not in my library" and see if that restores it. I tried this with the last beta and it kept failing.

Otherwise you might need to open a Steam support ticket but god help you if you get someone like the one that "tried" to help me back in the last beta, they were useless and by the time they "understood" what the problem was the beta was over.

Wow, thanks this worked. Used Help - Steam Support - Games - The Finals - "Its not in my library" - "View the product in your libary" and was able to install it (without using an unhide option).
Usually I hide Playtests from my Library so this time maybe they reused the Playtest for the final game and it was an issue that I did hide it before.

Awesome! Glad it worked.

I too have removed playtests in the past like the first Finals playtest and never had a problem playing later betas, but for some reason during the last beta the "license" for the game couldn't be re-activated and neither the dev's support on their discord nor Steam support were any help xD
