Will there be a standard PvP mode?

Game seems interesting so far but man I really hate the game mode in the Alpha. Can't we just focus on shooting each other and exploring the map without this other stuff tacked on?

I played the alpha, it is not a battle royale, there was no circle that closes on you (where did you even get that from?). its capture the flag with a twist, with 4 teams first round, 3 teams the second round and then 2 teams the final round (hence the name The Finals). It's nothing like a battle royale except for the fact there are more than 2 teams. Calling the contestants "heros" is a bit of a stretch, there is a light, medium and heavy contestant. Each with their own abilities, gadgets and weapons, but nothing hero-like except no fall damage. There is also no looting either, obviously you never played the alpha.

It has to be a meme, I keep seeing ppl on boards saying its a battle royale. No idea. Or they are just starting to attribute "Battle Royale" to a wider and wider set of rules.

Funny this guy say its BR when its clearly not and uses it as an insult when apex, fortnite, warzone and pubg are still going and one of the most played games 4 years later…. Thinking its doa is just hilarious.

Apparently having a circle equals br lol what drugs is he on…. For a game to be BR it needs big map over 50 players, looting, circle….

i have played the alpha, this is NOT a battle royale game and if you think it is, you need to educate yourself. it's an arena shooter much like quake and UT were, but with a little bit of CTF and domination combo thrown in.
