Will there be a standard PvP mode?

Game seems interesting so far but man I really hate the game mode in the Alpha. Can't we just focus on shooting each other and exploring the map without this other stuff tacked on?

the dev want to make this game like BR, i mean for example PUBG is BR too and is the principle, if you want fps and active shooter and not BR i think you must play another game

Why would they want to make a game like other games? The building in Fortnite is what made that game different than other BR games.

You didn't play the Alpha then because it is a battle royale game. The only mode shown off is battle royale. It sucks. Just want regular ass PvP.

It is a Battle Royale game where you hunt boxes and bring boxes to place for a victory, while a circle closes in on you and in squads of 3 each with HEROES that have special abilities and loadouts. It is the worst common denominator type of trash. It does have a grappling hook though and really cool destruction. It would be much better as an actual PvP shooter. But instead they're chasing trash trends in the worst possible way.

Apex got regular TDM mode later on, it might happen for this one aswell, or it might have it on launch, we don't know much

thats what made fortnite not even remotely fun to play since all every kid did was just spam stairs, zero build is what brang fortnite its fun.

theres nothing in the steam tags that says its battle royale.

It is Battle Royale. There should be another test coming up in a few weeks. Maybe they'll drop it but the Alpha Test was only Battle Royale. Teams of 3, hero character choices with load-outs, a giant ring that shrinks the map, and shooting/looting then trying to carry the loot to the final circle to win. There is also a grappling hook. Gunplay felt nice, destruction was super cool, but the powers and battle royale circle gameplay-loop and dumb TTK made it anti-fun. The core of the game, the systems and visuals are rock solid. But the game is going to shoot itself in the foot with its insistence on chasing trends. These guys made battlefield. I know they don't want to make battlefield again and I don't blame them. But they are clearly very skilled at their trade and have made a competent and exciting set of systems that make for a mechanically exceptional experience and it is an insult to their talents to chase trends in such a bizarre way. Like you can find somewhere in-between those two extremes. This could be a large form shooter, 2 larger teams doing a thing. Or it could easily be a hero shooter with tactical small scale combat, round based. It could easily be either of those things. But it can't be every dumb trend on the market mishmashed together. That is what this game is. It is Identity Crisis meets Midlife Crisis.

there could be more gamemodes when its actually out plus you played a "pre-alpha"
