Feels like driving on soap

I can't seem to be able to drive properly in this game. Am I doing something wrong? Suggestions?

space bar is not quite the same as a hand brake like one might expect. One would expect that once you let go of the handbrake, you get grip again.. except the devs of this game..

Once you use the space bar/"handbrake", your car will enter a low grip "drift" mode until it's managed to get grip again. You can regain grip by bring the car's performance back to the bottom of the power band. If you stay redlined, you'll stay loose..

also the drivetrains make a big difference on how the car handles. FWD cars will pull the car with the front wheels, so your rear wheels are just kinda following along.. RWD cars will push the car with the rear wheels, so you can easily oversteer and may need to do some pedal feathering to control it good.. AWD cars are a bit of a hybrid.. they act like they want to behave like RWD's, but still pull from the front wheels too, so it gives you a really wonky drift line..

FWD and AWD are better for street racing as long as you can avoid the space bar..

RWD is better on tracks and use of the space bar to allow the car to drift.

what driving problem are you having? i just started & haven't had one problem yet but i admittly didn't do any drifting yet

Mostly with drifting
