Once you use the space bar/"handbrake", your car will enter a low grip "drift" mode until it's managed to get grip again. You can regain grip by bring the car's performance back to the bottom of the power band. If you stay redlined, you'll stay loose..
FWD and AWD are better for street racing as long as you can avoid the space bar..
RWD is better on tracks and use of the space bar to allow the car to drift.
