guitar hero/rockband controller support
love the game so far but one thing is an apparent issue is the control setup. the keyboard controls are fine but my hands always begin to cramp after about an hour of play and at an even shorter time when playing on hard mode and yes i do use both hands. the cramping is similar to my early days of piano practice. the gamepad controls are ok at best but not as good as the keyboard.

my question is will there or is there support for guitar hero controllers with the whole guitar layout it'd seem like a no brainer to add or already have and the inputs will be far more superior while eliminating hand cramps. getting RSI from a video game is just lame especially at my age

People seem to be using things like DDR mats fine . If you enable SteamInput on the rockband controller it should map fine

Zelxios...if you are curious enough, you will realize its not a dead controller, especially on PC. aka clone hero and while I don't fortnite, I hear there is stuff to use it in there as well.

If you're looking for another fun option I'm using an 8bitdo fightstick for this which is working great and is awesome for arcade beat'em ups afterwards like shredders revenge.

I just plugged my PS2 guitar hero to my PC, booted Joy2Key and bound the Green Red Yellow to left down right as i have it in my KB and that worked.

I kinda feel like if the keyboard is cramping you a different controller isn't going to fix that? The controllers on keyboard are customizable. You might want to think outside the box for keyboard controls. For example some people split the controls in 'half' , so the left hand has up and left buttons, while the right hand has right and up buttons. this splits your movements between hands

i play actual guitar which is why im thinking it'll be better for me since im accustomed to the hand placement as far as keyboard controls i kept the default using both hands and alternate when i need to mainly sustains i'll use one hand and the other for single notes while sustained and on hard and impossible two hands is a must.
