"Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda Perfect January 17, 2022 "
Apparently it is already not only playable on emulator, but also perfect. Go ahead and try.
Please elaborate? Specifically: how would that suit be the reason that Nintendo doesn't want their games on PC?
A man can dream, right? - I have not played the original Crypt of the Necrodacer (even though I bought it) but would gladly buy/play Cadence of Hyrule on Steam.
In general, I'd really like to see Nintendo go in the direction that Sony went when they started releasing their games on Steam. There are so many gems that are Nintendo exclusive and that would make Nintendo a LOT of money if released on Steam (PC).
Can you imagine getting games like Super Mario Maker 2 or Breath of the Wild on Steam? - they could instantly sell thousands, if not millions of copies...
And thats the thing Nintendo KNOWS that if they keep their games on their own hardware people will be forced to buy it and what happens when the hardware dies or when they sell the hardware and game? The company re-releases the game on a new more expensive hardware. And the cycle continues. You sell it on PC, you cut their money cow in half. And they dont want that. Thing is Im not buying their games anymore unless they sell it on steam. Otherwise emulation will be the main thing. And They are not stuck between a rock and a hard place. Sell on pc and lose a steady money revenue or people emulate their games and lose money on those people. They dont want to accept the truth but that is whats going on.
The best they could do would be remake CoH into a game with no Nintendo IP in it.
*sigh* That sucks. I was REALLY hoping to have 1 game bought legally and own through a different source as a F U to Nintendo. You could be thinking "why" good question. Because its more of an ego/spite thing, which I know, sad and pathetic, but I feel like it would get the ball rolling, more and more people will buy it thus forcing them to port more and more of their games. We win in the grand scheme of it all.
Mario teaches typing is on eBay if you want one that badly
Yes, we all know they would sell like hotcakes on Steam.
No, they probably won't because they want their sweet sweet hardware sales.
Good luck, dude. There's a reason a ton of gamers only do PC + whatever Nintendo console.
