Input error PLEASE HELP
This is the second time I've posted. The issue I'm having is with controller support. Whenever I load the game the menu scrolls as if im holding the analog stick up. I went into the config and adjusted the slider so that instead of sticking to the top right corner it was in the center box. However that didn't change at all in the actual game. I then went online and downloaded the 360ce and ran the config. In 360ce everything seemed to be working normally but once again when i loaded the game the input was stuck pressing up. I've loved the YS games and really looked forward to playing Oath but at this point I'm about ready to ask for a refund.

I'm using a dualshock 4 which has worked for every other steam game I've tried it on. Any help or advice or ideas is appreciated.

I'm having this issue as well with a DS4. I've previously played this using a dualshock 3 which had the exact same issue. I did manage to fix that but I cannot remember at all how I fixed it. My slider is in the top left and nothing I do seems to alter that. I didn't realise that could be related to it though but it makes sense as after I load it will constantly run up and left.

The only "fix" I have for this is to hold down any other button. For some reason when I hold down a button it will act as if I stopped pressing up and left.

I just tried Origins too. I get the same issue there. Ys I and Ys II however work perfectly fine along with every other game I have on steam. These are the only 2 games I've come across having the issue.

Here's a comparison picture between the in game calibration and the windows calibration (I've done nothing at all in between pics and they both still display them as being calibrated like this)

My calibration looks the exact same. Ha I'd really like to not play the game holding down a button the whole way through.

I just figured out what the problem is. The game is mapping the trigger axes to the movement controls in addition to the right stick, for some reason. I'm not sure how to fix it, yet, but it's a start.

On another note that might help people, the game crashes for me if I have feedback enabled for my controller. Ys Origin did this to me as well after playing a certain number of hours (my controller would be constantly vibrating after a crash). I haven't crashed since disabling it though.

Not sure if it'll help since I'm using a PS2 Controller, but here's my gamepad config:

I tried screwing around with the calibration settings in the registry to see if I could get the trigger axes to read constantly at 127 (which would be neutral for the stick), but had no luck. It would have been a half-assed fix anyway, as any game that did use the trigger axes would have problems. Alas.

It's too bad there aren't any axis mapping lines in the game's ini file.

If anyone here is having a problem with this I figured it out for me. What happened was when I went into the input(I'm using a keyboard not a controller) it was identifying VJoy as the controller(a program that I used for TF2 demoknighting). So I unchecked the use gamepad setting in input settings. :TheBat:
