Seems like it "thinks" that a certain direction may be depressed.

I've heard that there are some controllers that use different points of "origin" -- like, (0,0) may be center on one controller but the top left corner on another controller.

Another possible issue might just be USB stuff going nuts. There was one time I plugged a USB webcam in while playing another game and then suddenly my controls were totally doing that being-stuck-in-one-direction thing. Unplugging it fixed it.

IIRC I've heard that those two controllers have different zero points or origins.

I forgot how to fix it though. Probably because I don't use a controller myself.

But I remember it's been mentioned here, or on the Ys Origin board. Just do a search for "controller" or "gamepad". Can even try the Ys VI board, since that game also uses the same game engine.

Win10 drivers seems to prefer xinput (xbox, ps4 steam opt-in) and does not play nice with directinput (ps4 native). Maybe try right-click > properties > either "force off" or "force on".

I was having that problem too, but haven't figured out how to fix it. The wireless 360 controller I have works fine, but the PS4 controller has that endless scrolling problem.

Oo, actually, this fixed it. I went into Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings, and Playstation Configuration Support on that screen, and recalibrated the controller, and that seems to have fixed it.
