In the Napishtim engine game one level can make the difference
Had 1 HP left when he had 4.
Still think this boss has too much health, could have easily had like 1000 and be just fine.
Playing on Hard. Level 17.
I've beaten the game in hard a month ago and yeah that boss gave me troubles (I had to grind 1-2 levels to make it bearable)
I think that boss (Guilen) is at least level 18 to be that hard
AKA Botwoon from Super Metroid.
Just beat this boss in Felghana on Normal and I hadn't picked up the new weapon. Good to know it's going to be just as fun on Hard with the extra attack power...
Anyway the snake/worm-like boss trope is very old so it's not a surprise to see similarities
This is the way to beat him. Dodge everything else, wait for an opportunity to get him chasing his own tail, whirlwind him to death. Figure out how to do this properly and he effectively becomes one of the easier bosses of the game. Just need some patience.
I blame modern Falcom where Nightmare = old Normal.
