Equipping Sujimon for the Sujimancer class

I just switched to my Sujimancer class for Ichi, and for some reason, it's only using what looks like some weak, default Sujimon, despite the fact that I've caught a good amount, and have even lucked into pulling the Kiwami Frost Suji. Do I need to remove them from my active Sujimon Battle roster or something? How do I make them show up for the moves, because my current Sujis are dealing pitiful damage!

There are spots in your Gear Equipment menu to equip different Sujimon. It isn't very intuitive, but it's there.
