It worth buying this game? Which edition should I pick? Any chance to get this game in discount?
Hello guys! I liked Yakuza Like A Dragon the previous game and I was thinking to get this game. It worth buying this game? And is this game very good at playing on PC with keyboard and mouse? This game looks improved compared Yakuza Like A Dragon, it has more actions, QTEs, spams and smash buttons, I hope it's not complicated. But there's one thing I wanna to know. *Coughs* SPOILER ALERT: I noticed by watching any videos on YouTube and searching on internet that Kiryu has the cancer. Is that true?! If it's true, holy s... That's why I avoid to buy this game, because I discovered that Kiryu has the cancer and this makes me be sad and crying. Kiryu was the most my favorite character since I've played Yakuza 1 very long time ago on the PS2 and never played the sequels like Yakuza 2 and other. So this means it's the last Yakuza game?! Is Kiryu really dying?!

If you want to play let it be... no character based in reality is inmortal like the life himself. Or you want to play a future game like a Y19 with a Kiryou converted in a toaster in the space? it is worth or not by the price? hell NO above all the paywall of some features in DLCs, more than the content. Argumentally its worse in my opinion than Like a dragon (Y7 like people call it) because the organization of the story its a little mess.

Personally, I'd play through the rest of Kiryu's games (Yakuza 0-6 + Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name) before playing Infinite Wealth because such a large portion of Kiryu's side content is dedicated to moments from those games but jumping in straight from Yakuza Like A Dragon is completely fine too, since that game was made to be an entry point for newcomers who understandably don't want to undertake the task of playing 8 previous games, and the game is a direct sequel to that.

You can find the game on a good 50% sale by next week probably when the Autumn Sales start or in the Winter Sale in late December if you miss out on that. There's a DLC that unlocks a bunch of optional post-game content that realllllllly should be in the base game but I REALLY recommend AGAINST buying it purely to communicate to Sega nobody wants that type of content behind a paywall. Your call though.

You can find the rest of Kiryu's game on sale in a massive bundle for $35-45 as well. If you don't want to buy 7 games at once before knowing if you even like them there's a smaller bundle for like $15 on sale as well that includes a prequel set in the 80's and remakes of the first two games from the PS2. And the games individually are dirt cheap too, being like $6-10 each, with every game easily including like 50+ hours of content. Yakuza 0 is worth it for the main story alone in my opinion.

The series is far from perfect but the sum of its parts have made it a surprise favorite for me. Infinite Wealth's story is extremely flawed to me but the themes and messages it attempts to communicate are still exceptional. It's an instant recommend if you've already played YLAD any day. just follow my advice and don't buy any DLC

Wait, y'all said "paywall"? Oh no I hate it. Paywall in paid games, it makes no sense. I presume this game has 2 different stories between Kiryu and Ichiban, right?

Yes. at some point you alternate between the two after each chapter.
The "paywall" is basically just an optional endgame dungeon and New Game +. Think the Final Millennium from Like A Dragon. It isn't much and it's easily skippable if you don't care for that type of side content (the replayable dungeons in this game are randomly generated anyway)

Oh. Dang it, this game had potential. But too bad it's ruined by paywall. I barely added in the wishlist, but I don't know if should I remove it.

No, you should DEFINITELY play it. I'm trying to say the paywall is insignificant enough that it doesn't bring down an already fantastic game. It looks better if people buy the base game but nobody buys the DLC either :P

Well right. XD Maybe I'll buy, but I need finish the previous game. Which it's tough since it's a grinding simulator.
