I hope Kenzan comes to Steam. I only know the Intro and Iove it soooo much

I'd have to from best to worst;
5 > LJ > Gaiden > IW > 4 > J > KF > 7 >K1 > 0 > K2 > Ishin > 3 > 6
Heck I'd even skip 6.
I've only played JE (That's Judge Eyes, A.K.A Judgement right?) on Steam and was pretty disappointed in it. The story starts off very strong. Loved the graphics and fight intros. I loved the characters and premise but falls off a bit after the mid point and the court case was just awful to me. That would be fine if the combat and progression system was better. The issue with the combat is that it felt plain awful without upgrades to speed, damage and more moves for your move-set but the game also drip fed you upgrade points to unlock things. After the upgrades, the combat felt decent but doesn't quite wow you either. It felt like you went from feeling awful to getting to the base level of where it should've been. The lack of heat generation outside of smoking, drinking and that one attack doesn't help either.
Y0>LAD: Gaiden>LAD:7>Kiwami 2>LAD:8>Kiwami 1>Y6>LAD:Ishin
I'm about halfway through Judgment and Y3 so I'm not ranking these yet and I played a little of 5 and loved the combat so I'll probably really enjoy that one. I ran out of money in Judgment due to the drone game and I have no more VR tickets so I gotta grind them from enemies I guess. The combat is also pretty great in that one, too, though I could do without the tailing segments. The blocking in Y3 is annoying, yes, but I like the setting and story a lot so far.
I'd rank Kiwami 1 higher for its story/characters (it was the first one I played, too) but it has that annoying boss healing mechanic that made the first boss a huge pain since I hadn't unlocked those counters yet. Also, once you get Tiger Drop the combat becomes pretty broken. Majima Everywhere wears out its welcome, too, though it can be hilarious at times.
Y6 was the first Dragon engine game, I believe, and it shows because the combat was messy and very button mashy. There also weren't that many fun side things to do and the story was kind of meh. Ishin also suffers from meh combat because you can just craft a really good sword that will carry you through everything and the gun stance is a bit simple though more fun than the brawler style that is really weak.
Still, I haven't played a Yakuza game that I didn't like so it's one of my favorite series. The series has a comfy feeling like the Phoenix Wright games because you keep seeing the same people and places and it's nice to observe how they change over the years.
what is KF?
( i havent played ishin but it looks promising )
Huh I see if we separate Kaito files, my ranking would be like that:
2>ishin>5>KF>6>0>1>Gaiden>3=4>7>Judgment>8>LJ
Your order to play the series is weird but you do you
