Secret bosses or dungeons?

I am pretty far in, end of chapter 10, I beat both Hawaiian and Japanese dungeons to the max stage. Are those the top tier challenges in base game? Feels a bit pointless to grind past level 55. especially if you were efficient all your side jobs would also be at level 30,

After Japanese dungeons u can also craft all the final tier weapons but since you need to beat the dungeon to even collect enough points to use them they kinda become pointless. Without DLC there is no challenge left. And even DLC is just dungeon to gear up further,

What am I gearing up for? Is there any secret or final encounters hidden on the map after game end? If not the game seems simply unfinished without that 20 dollar dlc for legendary mode and swell dungeon. But even with it, will enemies get better skills on legendary or have move variety? Or difficulty is just higher level encounters and thats it?

Overall good game, maybe I am just asking too much to have a sort of late game goal like in final fantasy, but I also cant help to feel a little disappointed that I cant test my real power against something that isnt just bunch of beefed up regular enemies like the Amons

no secret bosses once you beat the castle dungeon without the dlc. If you start legend run id say youre unprepared with your current stats but this game is pretty merciful than 7 though
