Chapter 9 Scrounge up 10K
I have millions from doing sujimon battles and even burnt it all to exactly 10K using Julie’s Gearshop. Still I can’t progress.

You don't need exactly 10k, you just need an amount over it.

Go back to the dungeon and gold finger a couple of boss enemies

What? You need 10k or more, not exactly 10k - how did you come to this conclusion?

Because the game asks for 10K and not "Over 10K"?

Honestly the amount is silly when you would get that amount from the mandatory fights before it anyway.

Who in their right mind would assume the game mandates you must have exactly 10k? Game just says you gotta have 10k, that's it, literally all you gotta do is just interact with the one asking for the 10k again.
Iirc, Kasuga even literally goes "oh I already have 10k" directly after the scene if you have that much or more money, or maybe that's just with the taco truck.

I just find it funny the OP got rejected for having the exact amount the game asked for. Ichiban's comment is the taco truck you're remembering.

Yeah, he only says that for the taco truck part.

It's really weird to ask for such a small amount of money at this point in the game. 10k is nothing by now. I'm walking around with about $200k without even trying. Pretty sure the fights right before the cutscene drop around 10k.

I mean... it's kinda common sense. I'm sure the OP has gone to a grocery store and understood that you don't need the exact amount to buy said grocery item. you just need that amount minimum to purchase it, excluding tax.

I'm not really one to downplay threads like this. just letting you know that there's no real need for the game to clarify "over 10k" as the amount necessary to progress the story.

I seriously don't understand why you are defending an error like this. Minor as it is, it's still a mistake, an amateur one.

Besides, the store would love that you paid them at the exact price so they don't need to take anything out their till.
