Good place to grind in early Chapter 8?
Any tips on where to grind in Chapter 8?
I just started the chapter and am noticing a spike in difficulty.
OK, it might be I grinded a bit too much in the prior chapters ;-)

If you still happen to have a chapter 7 save, I recommend rolling back to it and do the dungeon stuff, and buy all 5 star weapons for the jobs you INTEND to use in Ijincho, as well as clothes for Kiryu. If you can handle the level 32 dungeon zone, do the gold finger trick on boss-like enemies there.

In Ijincho chapter 8, you'll get Namba, Saeko, and an assassin. 2 males, 2 females.

If that is not an option for you, forget about side stuff and focus on main story.

Chapter 10
Couldn't be more wrong lol.

Chapter 8 opens the best possible grind spot in the entire game. It's those weaboos near Jinnai Station (Yagami's garage from Lost Judgment). Only lvl 41 enemies but you get 80k base exp, 70k job exp, and 9 million yen. And yes, they do respawn.

I just searched for this topic to let that guy know, that is by far the best grind spot.

How to trigger it: Its based on either time passed or amount of steps taken, running down and up the street will trigger it after a little while they can spawn from either direction of the street, maybe 5 back and forwards runs triggers it. I have done it 20+ times in order to level up to beat a boss u meant to loose to in chapter 8.

They drop 76k EXP 68.4K Job exp as well as 5 mil yen. Thats more exp than anything Hawaiian Haunt gave with very little effort to trigger and fairly weak enemies.

at around level 40 I could beat them on autocombat, but it takes long, there is also EXP food place short walk from here. You should really mark that guys answer as topic answer cause I only found it by sheer accident.

I'm at the begining of chapter 9 with $400K 6 crafted 7-star weapons. I have completed all the sub-stories (including Dondoko Island) and grinded a lil bit in Haiwaiian haunt. I think if you played mini games and got all the important items that its give, you will be at lv 47-48 by chapter 9. If not, I recommend you hunt for Crowded enemies in Yokohama and Karamucho.
In case for some reasons your team is under level, I recommend you to give Saeko and Seohee Idol and Nigh queen (respectively). The two jobs have tons of buff/debuff and healing. Buy those 4-star weapons which cost around 500 each (which is very cheap for the stats they give).

Implying that's common knowledge. They're crowned?

Not crowned. When they appear, there's a little cutscene, you will know it when it happens. They drift their car very fast from Jinnai Station crossroad and head towards you. You can easily use 5 million yen poundmate for this battle and then use any skill to finish them.

I've had that encounter happen exactly once and I dodged it. I'm aware which encounter you mean but I haven't been able to trigger it since

Finally got it to trigger near Kappi Katsumi. While it's significantly better than the dungeon... I would not recommend it for anyone starting chapter 8, which is why this topic exists. Even with poundmates, fight was a struggle, and I'm in my 40s now.

Which poundmates did you use for this fight? Because clearly I'm missing someone

For the first few battle you can use the 10 millions one. Then after you get a few levels, just use the 500 thousands.

idol is essentially useless for main job. You can just inherit the magical song / concert or whatever skill you see fit in the job. Dont use idol as your main job

And what makes this spot even better is they sell Kiwami drinks in the vending machine down Jinnai Service Road

Thanks for clarifying it!
I tried the spot out myself, it works like a charm!

I may not be the right kind of person compared to the others in this thread as I enjoy a good meaningful rpg grind, but I was level 36 off of the aloha resort beach (lvl 22 enemies) before I started the haunt, and then leveled up to level 58 before the start of chapter 6. Just going through the dungeon awards large amounts of money which can buy 6 star gear easy, then utilize the Robo points to upgrade your gear to star 7 (dont throw out the cabbie wrench like I did) or 6 for chitose as her bond wont progress to the end that early. If you do 2-3 runs through each dungeon level you will be roughly fine to take on the end of level 3 and 4 of the dungeon, utilize poundmates nancy and the wind one for 5k as the enemeies will drop roughly equivalent amounts of money when defeated (with the riche crown and lucky accessory giving 1.3x money otherwise boss fights may have to supplement you finances). Winning level 4 of the dungeon gives 7 star foot and headgear, winning level 3 the first time give ichiban level 7 bodyarmor, and the others can take 6 star armor unless you switch their class to one of the other classes.

You will get so much money from the haunt that only an extra run or 2 will probably set you for money for a significant period of time ($800k plus after initial armor and weapon purchases before chapter 6)

I will note that the boss fights of haunt level 3 and 4 are difficult and will require high amounts of skill and item use to win, but the normal enemies should fall easily enough even if you are a few levels lower than them.

Essentially, I think those that arent even level 30 for the start of chapter 8 might not be performing enough content and may have the wrong mindset for a large scale rpg like this game.

Can anyone explain this to me?
What is the "weaboos near Jinnai Station" in chapter 8?
Which street am I looking to up & down on and to fight which enemy?
I'm having a hard time finding a good place to grind, but this post seems to be it, though I can't understand it at al...

Thank you!

Thank you!

Its been a while since I played, but ill try to clarify, in Chapter 8 of the main story line you will find your self in japan, you can open the map and look for the street that runs next to Jinnai Train Station, as you go down the street towards the water with highway on your right you will trigger a secret random encounter, a car will rush down the road and it will be filled with 4 "Weaboo" enemy guys, they are an easy fight and give the biggest exp ammount in the game. You can trigger this even unlimited ammount of times by running up and down the street until it triggers again.

Thank you Imperium! Will give it a go & see if I manage it right.
Thanks again!
