Beating NG+ on Legend does not unlock the achievement for beating it on Hard
Did my second playthru on Legend difficulty and was shocked to find out that it doesn't unlock the achievements for other difficulties. If you are planning on going for all achievements then I recommend playing Hard before Legend and cutting out a lot of the grinding required for Legend. Legend starts with enemies being level 75 and scaling up to 99. Just a heads up for any completionists!

You can change difficulties in new game+ from the game settings menu in options whenever you like. Just save right before ebina, beat on the legend, reload save after, change difficulty to hard, beat on hard.

That's how I did my 100%

People that allows this stuff to happen ought to be slapped. I thought we left this behind in the PS2 era?

If that's the case, would it be more efficient to have a save point before (final boss spoiler, for people who haven't beaten the game yet) Ebina as a different save slot? (One for Legend, one for Hard) or are you not able to change difficulties once you lock in?

I have yet to start New Game Plus and I'm just cleaning up all the substories and mini games before I do so.

Edit: If Nanikos' theory works, there's my answer.

Do you have to keep your difficulty at hard or legendary the entire time?

nope. I recommend saving your game before endgame boss fight and redo it on different difficulty, for example youre nearing the final boss in legend, finish the game up until it tells you to make a save for premium adventure ( make sure to separate that save from your endgame boss save ) and then reload the boss save and change the difficulty on hard and finish it again. It will register as you completing the game in respective difficulty

What is the difference in Hard and Legend? Enemy levels sounds like it’s 75+ and not sure if they tweak other things to make it harder? What about Hard I’m curious what level enemies start and end at.

theres prerequisites on recommended levels to be on harder difficulties. I beat the game on legend they all roughly level 75 - 99. Nothing out of the ordinary besides enemies having more health and do more damage than normal

Thank you. It seems like I’m near the end of the game and level 50 but if I do post game, I will be above this.

Came here looking for this answer. Thanks for the heads up. Planned on going straight into legendary after finishing the Big Swell but it sounds like I won't be leveled enough for it.
