How do i install mods?

I downloaded Shin ryu mod manager 4.0.3 and tried installing a mod but it doesn't seem to work with pop up saying the game version isn't supported when i open the mod manager.

It might not be updated for this game yet, or at least not for the most recent patch (I think one just dropped earlier today). You might need to wait for the modders to update the manager.

I know the "it works for me" thing is very patronizing and unhelpful, but I did just install mods to cheat dondoko island.

click the green check mark after you put all the srmm files in the same place as your exe, put your mod into the mod folder (running srmm once makes a mod folder). Then open srmm and see the check mark next to the mod to show it reads it, then you have to click the green check mark.
