Is Chitose unlikable or am I missing something?

For someone as stupid and reckless as Chitose her dialog is painfully dull. Looking over her Bond Bingo conversations and we learn she... enjoys music, taking group photos on vacation, and dancing. Such riveting dialogue discussing fast food portions and honey tasting different from region to region. Her Drink Links are about her doting butler and her rich family that just wants her to take over the business but she doesn't want to. She feels aggressively uninteresting and Ichiban's charm isn't enough to salvage any of their interactions.
Tomi wasn't exactly thrilling but at least he actually had some quirks and his Drink Link had more tension than "what if Gramps finds me and sends me back to Japan :(((("

I thought she was between 21-24 given she's an exchange student. It's not impossible for her to be 27 but it does seem unlikely for her to be the most likely candidate to be the heiress, still be in school at 27 and be so immature.

Never liked Seako or Seonhee in 7 nor do like them here in 8. In fact i dislike Seako even more now. She was never my choice in 7 so having her forced upon me is extremely annoying. So while i do miss Eri Chitose has become my new favorite lol. What really brings Seako down for me is her voice actress i've never been a fan of Elizabeth Maxwell. While i'm a huge fan of Eri's and Chitose's lol. For me voice actors make or break characters and having a voice actress i really dislike makes me despise a character lol.

I liked her. She’s what, like in her mid 20s? I’ve known a decent bit of people who could be straight forward and perhaps a bit difficult to align interests with, or be energetic as someone like Ichiban.

I can be pretty similar, so I understand the social struggle. However, I would say that a decent contributing factor could be that she probably feels guilty playing the squad for a fool the way she has that it could be having an effect on her socializing skills with everyone.

That's still young? There's a reason most of the rest of the cast is actually deep into adulthood - they've actually lived life and have some things to talk about

I beat the whole game and have to say. Ive never hated a female character more than Chitose in the yakuza/like a dragon series

Yeah, I mean "Infinie Wealth" is no masterpiece when it comes to storytelling, but Chitose really sucks the most. As a villain, she is viciously efficient in ruining several lives. As a member of the group, she is utterly incompetent, causes a lot of harm because of her indecisiveness, and her redemption seems extremely unearned to me. Her annoying streamer/influencer character trope (together with her spoiled brattiness and daddy-issues that she projects on Ichiban) coincides with the bad writing of Ichiban himself (a flat character if I ever saw one), who gets lied to, ruined both physically and socially, betrayed to a point that people have to die before Chitose comes clean and still does not even consider being mad at her in any way. He barely even reacts to the revelation that she was the one ruining him in the beginning (though he basically put zero effort into finding that devious streamer in the first place - much like his search for his mother is half-hearted since he constatly mentions how he is really indifferent to her because he had a big family with several mothers and fathers growing up). The flimsy excuse that she was blackmailed is only relatable if you accept a protagonist to be utterly selfish and willingly sacrificing others to save their own reputation / relationship to her parents.

I have genius intellectual capability but a personality much like Kasuga's. I have no beef with Chitose.

First and foremost though, I can enjoy a story whether its characters make mistakes or not.

Cast aside your human emotions and elevate yourselves to a higher state of being. You will thank me for it.

Chitose is great, Seonhee is great, Saeko is great. I just don't get all the Tomi love here, that guy's as lame as they come and his plot contributions didn't help at all.
