Yes, this game is super woke, please go away now

I knew it was over way before when the Gaiden story trailer dropped. Last true yakuza project is kaito files. After Nagoshi left this series died

They chose the most unwoke franchise and decided to wokefy it.

This trend will eventually die out. Hopefully...

The Yakuza/LaD franchise has frequently touched upon social issues and typically with a more progressive slant. This isn't some sort of radical change in this game, but you're just trolling anyway.

Walk into ATenshi/Earth Angel in literally any of the games set in Kamurocho and note how Mama is treated as a person rather than a charicature.

The main plotline of the previous game (Y:LaD / LaD 7) is almost entirely focused on Japan's treatment of the homeless, sex workers, and immigrants. Political and social issues are nothing new to Like a Dragon.

That character is voiced by a man, because they treat him with respect doesn't mean they consider him a woman.

Quite mild, just because it's being discussed as a plot device doesn't mean the writer agrees with the standpoints. That game is also way less woke compared to this crap. The characters weren't bragging about being too sexist and Kiryu wasn't crying like a btch

If that were the case they'd be calling her "Master" rather than "Mama." Did you think that was her name?

There are dozens of instances of Kiryu outright rejecting the exact sort of toxic masculinity that you seem to be thinking this game needs. I'm sorry that you've accidentally stumbled upon a franchise where women are sometimes treated as people and that depicts men with emotions other than just anger.

Who cares, doesn't mean it's woke

It's sad really, should not be giving into a cult's demand.

It will die out when Ai takes over for good. The sooner the better.

Treating women with respect isn't woke, you just didn't see him in the older games running around like a male feminist saying what phrases are sexist
