I did not buy this game because of...
the normalisation of missing features in digital products.
The entire premise is scummy and designed to lower your standards and increase this over time to be more and more features removed and pay-walled.

I would also remind, DIGITAL PRODUCT, where features that have been made and effort is made to remove them from the base product to then create a token for steam that allows you to add it back in for money.

Sadness in my heart.

No problem. Its also important to make it clear that this was the reason, because many will say "!blah blah no one read this place", but in fact, many developers read steam forums on the quiet, and never mention it. Sometimes, even people with influence or power within these companies take a quick look to see if there is any burning issues.
You would never be told that though, nor would they care to admit it or engage.

People will take whatever scummy practice from companies as long as they really like the game. I don't like it as much as you do, but that's just the fact.

If people don't like the game in the first place, you bet that this scummy practice, such as deep DRM, 0-day DLC, MTX, etc would be trashed all over the place. But this time, people tend to just "overlook" it.

The game is super fun though, definitely pick it up on sale else you are missing out

Sadly this is the case, I will wait until its bargain bin value and probably still ignore it if its not low enough because principle is important here, I cant encourage this practice, I know many people dont mind or dont care, but its a weak mind and self control that will lead to you in the future when the bar goes below your own standards ya know.

Get it from CDKeys in about 2 months, it will be at least 40% off. That's what I'm doing, I aint paying more for some dang New Game+. I heard the base game is easy too, which would compel some to get NG+ just for a challenge...bunk that.

The games you own are public on steam. You don't own a single Yakuza or Like a Dragon game. You were never going to buy this game in the first place. you are not the consumer of of any of these games so why does your opinion matter to anyone?

I played the Yakuza games on playstation? So your brain must have issues understanding there is other platforms that exist.

I not longer own a PS so I would need to buy this on PC.

I mean by your logic, Sega instead should keep NG+ in base game and then charge non-story/main game related parts into DLC, i.e. Sujimon Stadium/Dondoko Island into separate season pass paygate?

Or are you implying that once they created a game, no matter much content there is, everything should be in it at the basement price of $60 and no more?

Most of them expect you to not only own the games but own them here, and specifically on the Steam platform, hell even I own the games on CONSOLE & PC BUT half of the PC version is on Microsoft's Storefront and NOT on Steam. It's elitism. Ignore them

Likely story... Why didn't you buy Elden Ring on PS? All you post are bandwagon opinions so I do not value your opinion. Good luck on being a miserable person.
