Virtua Fighter 3tb Dural, LF boss tips
I've never been really fond of fighting games such as Tekken or the old arcade games such as Virtua Fighter. It's not that they're not fun but that it takes a lot in learning combos and such and I can't really relax playing it.

I have little to no issue cheesing up to the Bonus Stage with Jeffry (and have with all other VF games), but considering that the Bonus Stage is only one attempt and is actually OBLIGATORY for the completion list, I'm slowly losing my mind trying to beat Dural and I have nothing else but to ask for tips from any people who actually know what they're doing and how to beat this unfair arcade boss fight.

As a thank you I offer a bit of fun trivia for anyone reading; the name DURAL actually stems from the controls (Down, Up, Right, A + Left) that were used to unlock the hidden character in the VF games.

Thank you in advance and I hope that you have as much fun playing this game as I do.

I beat it playing the easy arcade with Pai, I backsteped, y+y+y+down B and repeat.
Pai's down B is a swipe and the Duran's AI does a sidestep, so it always get hit by the down B.

I feel you man. This would be a lot less painful if the Dural fight wasn't necessary. I saw someone on the Virtua Fighter forum say that you could try baiting Dural to the edge of the ring and getting a Ring Out. Dodge her combos until you can get her back against the ledge and she leaves an opening. Throw out a punch combo to push her out.

What I'd love to know is which fighter can throw the furthest. That could easily win the fight if you're going for a Ring Out. If anybody knows, please tell us.

I don't know if Jeffry still has his butt tackle move from VF2; that was the move I abused to get easy Ring Outs. If he still has it, I don't know how to activate it.

I'll give it a try once I'm done with other side-content, thanks for the suggestion friend.

I've given you an award for your help in order to show my gratitude. Thank you so much friend!

I read somewhere that if you hold down on the D-pad before inserting the coin and starting the game, it will turn the game from team battles into singular battles; pairing that up with your strategy of backstepping and doing Y+Y+Y+Down+B, it took me about 3-4 attempts to beat Dural. You're a savior. :nekoheart:

I followed your strategy and I beat Dural on my first try! It was sweaty even on Easy, but the combo worked! Thanks so much, and have some points!

The female fighter, Linda, strikes fast enough that you can air juggle the enemies a bit. You can get in some more damage and stop their attacks for a bit. Otherwise, just have a lot of money for continues and abuse those special moves for crowd control and big damage to bosses.

Find a cheap move you can spam and do that, or focus on ring outs

Like JerkBeastHB said, Linda is a really good pick for Spikeout, at times I'm able to get 11-12 hit combos on enemies; if possible when cornered, grab an enemy and use the special, else use it to give yourself some breathing room. L2 (air kick/double kick) is also really good for knocking away enemies to give yourself some time to damage others if you can't charge your Y/Triangle to stun them. Also on certain bosses, I feel like baiting an attack and charging the Y to max and striking back works wonders. I still died about 10-15 times through the playthrough but I wasn't really playing defensively haha.. Hope that helps!
