Why are the reviews positive?

The scumy move of Sega putting ng+ behind a pay wall should not be tolerated. Most positive reviews are hating on this decision but they are still putting their reviews as a thumbs up.

I had planned to buy this game but when I saw the pay wall I decided not to.

Edit: just because the game is great, doesn't mean a company should be allowed to get away this kind of predatory pay wall. You allows this now then the next future games you play will be pay walled. Cry about it then and regret.

It is okay when japanese devs do it… or at least that is the logic because they are the last authentic nonwoke devs so publisher actions like Sega’s is overlooked…

Just running from cutscene to cutscene, fight to fight, as fast as possible isn't riveting gameplay worthy of a new game plus IMO. It never was.

Holy reading comprehension. I'm not complaining about *that* thing at all. I HAVE the "NG+ DLC" because I'm rich and buy deluxe versions by default. But the requirement to play NG+ for 100% completion has been a complaint in Yakuza circles forever.
