Wasn’t Jim Ryan the pioneer of $70?
You saw what happened to him, right?
He got fired, I mean, he quit because traveling was too difficult for him to earn his $3.7 million/year in compensation.
He focused too strongly on gaining money that it affected the PlayStation system negatively.

Interestingly after price hikes started devs/publisher still can't find the best price to put first they went with $30 then $35 then $40, $50, $60 maybe before this year ends or next year standard price of AAA might go up to $120 only Sony found the best price before every one and they are still sticking to it, their best price that they come up for our region last year when Sega and most publishers/devs were stuck with $36-$42 is $48 for full game and just for one game they have a digital edition whose price come close to this games standard edition just saw Horizon Forbidden West™ Complete Edition priced at $48.
Except Sony rest of publishers/devs still confused what price to charge here after lot of hardships Sega finally found standard edition price for AAA games ie $52 and I think next Yakuza game launches standard price might be $120.
Steam game prices are a joke now because price changes before launch then after launch then like 2-3 months if this goes on next year this game standard price might go up to expected future standard price of $120 within 1-2 years.

"sigh" Okay my turn, lets talk about the amount of hours spending on it, let say it if a shooter with like just end in like 12 hours then yes the price really should get the axe a bit, but a game with 100 hours + a couple of minigames on it to raining/slow days it? i really think you guys should check the product a bit before grabbing the pitchforks

Right still say a number, one game per year is really the problem or is a bit of Fomo?
