I've been playing for awhile now and basic attacks have been enough for most encounters, so I went to see if I can change the difficulty to hard (I played on hard each first play-through of RGG games) Only to find out that is ALSO paywalled and only tied to NG+... Seriously? I am getting bored out of my mind given how easy it is so far and I get zero option to make it harder for myself? Jokes on me to think "I hate that NG+ is paywalled but difficulty is a standard in pretty much all games.... wait, where is the setting?"

I already did all that, but really I doubt I'm playing through it twice to change difficulty.

I may just use a hooking engine, as I already paid for the content.

are you sure? I think diffuculty setting for "ng" will be unlocked after the first playtrough. "ng+" is a different story.

I agree, it's too easy and I miss the difficulty option for my fist playtrough already. I think the first Y:LAD had the same system. I played it twice and ng+ on the hardest difficulty.
