Japanese audio language, but some english audio?

Audio is set as Japanese, but im getting English VA in certain moments. For example: when leveling up (ichiban says "getting stronger!" in english), changing expressions when using the cellphone camera (ichiban says "smile! do a silly face!," in english), or when characters say "hi" or "bye" when starting dialog bubbles

Rebooting the game now to see. Same problem here. "Feel like I'm getting stronger." *cringe*
Rebooting the game did set it straight for me.

Same issue. I imagine the lines that can't be subtitled were left in English, but it's driving me crazy. I pick Japanese because I don't want to hear whatever second rate voice actors they got for the English VA at all.

oh is that all it is? Been playing like 9 hrs with all the 'generic' dialog being in English. ik people on Hawaii speak eigo but i thought the peeps just spoke eigo during the generic sequences.

Swap from Japanese to English load save file, then go from English to Japanese. I made a post a moment ago detailing my experience and now my audio is correct
(do this in game, idk if doing it from the Main Menu will work)

i didnt reboot but it stopped for me when i made it to the mall idk why

Same, it fixed itself, I closed the game for a moment to have dinner and when I opened it again there was nothing in English

Came on here after playing till Ichi gets finished from Hello Work and goes round everyone saying excuse me in English when I chose Japanese dialog cos I can't stand dubs, thank you for saving me a rant
